2019 BMW S 1000 XR Release Date – BMW has had an incredible history in terms of making adventure motors. Since the last few decades, the German manufacturer has made a series of adventurous hardcore ‘GS’ motorcycles, which have created great stature and yardstick, thus inspiring many other adventure motorcycles. Motorcycle with a racer’s dynamic performance, upright sitting position of adventure engine and endurance of a tourer. BMW S 1000 XR combines the best aspects of each of these worlds to create the first adventure motor sport BMW Motorrad: suitable for anyone who wants performance and comfort in one machine.
But there are limited audiences for adventure motorcycles as hardcore as GS, which is why BMW has sought to make an adventure sport tour for the first time in its history, which has led to the birth of all the new S 1000’s. XR.
Based on the strong and powerful BMW 1000 R supersport, the BMW S 1000 XR gets its genes from the first and also the R 1200 GS, which makes it a perfect combination between the performance of the class-1 sportbike and its functionality (comfort and the touring aspect) of an adventure tourer. Here’s our complete overview of all the latest BMW S 1000 XRs:

2019 BMW S 1000 XR – Design
The 2019 BMW S 1000 XR is amazing – and so it looks. With the synthesis of sports, tours and adventures, it combines the characteristics and visual qualities of each of these categories, making it a bike that looks impressive. The sporty and distinctive BMW S 1000 RR Splitface emphasizes the effect of its supersport and while its distinctive flyline, “beak” and a relatively long spring journey reflect the look and ergonomics of the GS series. Wherever the BMW S 1000 XR rolls over, it will turn the head.
The BMW chassis is anchored by an aluminum frame and a double-sided swingarm. Wheelbase, compared to the S1000R, has grown by 4.3 inches significantly. At 61.0 inches, the XR wheelbase is only a tad shorter than the KTM 1190 Adventure’s and the boy is longer than the BMW GS‘s. The Swingarm itself is responsible for 2.5 inches of this growth and while the softened front-end geometry (25.5 degrees rake, 4.6 in traces) makes up the rest. The base model of the BMW S1000XR is equipped with manually adjusted shocks with provisions for preload and rebound adjustments, while reverse forks also add customizable compression damping. The long travel suspension provides a 5.5 inch ride back and 5.9 in front.
If you really want to experience the best BMW S 1000 XR chassis, choose the optional Dynamic ESA semi-active suspension. Riders can choose from three preload options (which can be further tweaked in the settings menu), then choose DSA-ESA settings, either Way or Dynamic. This system adjusts the attenuation to the equestrian situation in milliseconds based on information fed to the ECU from the bank-angle sensor, throttle position, DTC, ABS, and spring-travel sensors.

2019 BMW S 1000 XR – Engine Performance
The 2019 BMW S 1000 XR with powerful four-cylinder series motor produces a massive 160 horsepower at 11,000 rpm and produces a maximum torque of 83 lb-ft at 9,250 rpm. But it’s more than just an impressive sporty sensation with the S 1000 XR – innovative technology also offers a high level of comfort and security. The 2019 BMW S 1000 XR is equipped with two driving modes that can be selected as standard – “Rain” and “Road” – which allows the rider to adapt optimally to driving conditions. The ASC (Automatic Stability Control) standard ensures high driving safety based on optimum appeal. In short, the S 1000 XR can do everything – from tearing along a winding country road to a tour with two complete items.
At BMW S 1000 XR, the inline-999cc puts 160 horsepower claimed at 11,000 rpm, compared to 199 for the RR. The last S1000R we tested on the dyno took out 150 hp, and 77 pound-feet of torque on the rear wheels, so the XR will be in the same performance stadium. In standard form, the S1000XR has a pair of ride modes: Road and Rain. Other standard rates include Automatic Stability Control, with basic traction and wheelie controls working in conjunction with the more basic standard ABS. But if you check the box to Ride Modes Pro selection (see the price for all of the options at the end of the story), TC upgraded to Dynamic Traction Control more sophisticated, while two additional lift mode can be accessed, including Dynamic and Dynamic Pro. The real difference here is the updated sensor box, which detects the bank angle of the motor and applies the appropriate TC, while also allowing more aggressive drivers with wheelie and traction intervention less dependent on the selected mode.
Bicycles 2019 BMW S 1000 XR I very much preferred to Ride Modes Pro, D-ESA (see below), and ABS Pro (see below), plus Gear Shift Assist Pro, which allows the upshift and downshift without a clutch. After starting Rain mode, it did not take long for me to move on to the Road. On the wet asphalt, the handle of the standard Bridgestone T30 sports car tires is pretty good, and turning off the DTC does not make too much drama. I’m trying to get the rear tire to spin under the hard acceleration coming out of the bend in the second gear, and the motor is just connected. It was not until I hit a couple of dirt roads that I could turn wildly. Perched!

2019 BMW S 1000 XR – Handling
BMW has given the 2019 BMW S 1000 XR a lighter aluminum composite bridge frame structure, which results in optimal chassis geometry. 46mm reversed telescope levers on the front and rear side swingarms with monoshock mounted on the softer side compared to the same configuration on the S 1000 R and also get longer suspension travel, resulting in an ideal setting for you. A long highway. The 320mm dual disc brakes on the front and 265mm single disc brakes in the back sourced from Brembo have also been sourced from the siblings of the road, which have excellent application bite rates.
What always keeps the BMW S 1000 XR standing apart from the class liter supersport bike crowd is the electronic host it provides. The bike is equipped with two different riding modes – ‘Rain’ for drivers optimized with ABS and ASC adapted to wet surfaces, while ‘Road’ mode for riding with ABS and ASC for dry fillings. BMW also offers to other modes – ‘Dynamic’ and ‘Touring’ as an option to give the rider an unparalleled experience with the full power of the bugged motor, as it makes the driving experience more dynamic and comfortable.
